Low vision rehabilitation is a specialized program designed to help individuals with low vision make the most of their remaining vision and enhance their ability to perform everyday tasks. It focuses on maximizing functional vision, providing adaptive techniques, and introducing low vision aids to improve quality of life.

Adaptive aids and rehabilitation techniques can make it possible to accomplish everyday tasks once thought impossible. Effective use of equipment and mastering of these adaptive techniques generally requires training and practice.

If it is determined that you could benefit from additional support and assistance in coping with low vision challenges, she may refer you to other members of a multi-disciplinary low vision team, such as an occupational therapist, orientation and mobility instructor, or assistive technology instructor.
